To create shorts directly from the YouTube app:


  1. Log in to the YouTube app
  2. Tap the Create (+) button right in the middle of the app
  3. Tap on Create a Short
  4. Tap the top 15 to create shorts longer than 15 seconds
  5. Note that a maximum of 60 seconds long shorts video can be recorded
  6. If you want, you can increase or decrease the speed of the video by selecting Speed
  7. There is also the option to record hands-free video by tapping on Timer

  10. You can select video titles, privacy settings, etc. by tapping Next

What is a shorts fund?


The YouTube Shorts Fund is a $100 million equivalent fund that will fund eligible creators between 2021 and 2022.

Creators who create original shorts videos can receive a bonus from the Shorts Fund.


Even channels that are not part of the YouTube Partner will receive a shorts bonus. This means that almost anyone can get the bonus of Shorts Fund from YouTube Shorts.


Each month, the YouTube Authority will provide shorts fund bonuses to eligible creators based on the performance of the previous month’s shorts.


All shorts will be added to the video’s performance metrics. In other words, it is possible to earn money from all new and old videos through shorts.


The list of channels that get a shorts bonus every month will be refreshed. That means if you don’t get the shorts bonus in one month, you can get it in the next month.


Now let us know who will get the bonus of the YouTube Shorts Fund. If you want to get the bonus of shorts fund:


  • You must have uploaded at least one short to the channel in the last 180 days
  • The channel must adhere to the YouTube Community Guidelines, Copyright Rules, and Monetization Policy
  • Channels whose videos contain logos or watermarks of other social media platforms will be excluded.
  • If you upload content from another creator or upload unedited clips from a movie or TV show, you will not receive the channel shorts bonus.
  • Creator must be at least 13 years of age or older



Shorts Bonus Claim


Shorts creators can get a shorts bonus if they follow the rules mentioned in the previous section.


If a channel receives a shorts bonus, the YouTube authorities will notify them via email and notification between the 8th and 10th of the month.


It’s important to keep an eye on emails and notifications to claim YouTube Shorts Bonus. Because the bonus is not claimed by the 25th of that month, the bonus will expire.


When you receive a Bonus email or notification, accept the “Terms & Conditions” and link your YouTube channel with your Google AdSense account.



If you have already joined the Monetization Program, you will receive a Bonus AdSense account as soon as you accept the Terms & Conditions.


The process of linking the YouTube channel with the AdSense account can take a few days. Once this process is complete you will receive a confirmation email from YouTube.



Bonus Payment Withdrawal


Once the Shorts Fund Bonus is claimed, the money can be withdrawn from AdSense, i.e. it can be withdrawn.


If you make a withdrawal request from an AdSense account, you will receive the payment between the 21st and 26th of that month.


However, if you submit an AdSense Payment Withdrawal Request for the first time, you will need to fill in the Payment Details first.


To do this, you need to add a bank account of the same name in your Google account to the AdSense account.


Note that once the bonus is claimed, the money will be credited to the AdSense account.


 AdSense authorities usually send automatic payments on the 21st of the month. In that case, money usually arrives in the bank within 5 working days.
